By means of an annular or bell-shaped enclosure of each fork of the double universal joint, an angular limiting resistance is produced for each of the two universal joints. If this resistance is reached by one universal joint when the joint shaft is set at an angle, said universal joint continues constantly and evenly without deviation. Smooth running therefore takes place without friction and abrasion on the annular surfaces.
