In a cooker extractor hood having a sliding handle (7) for adjusting an electronic control unit for a conveying blower, which unit is arranged behind the operating or front face (2') of the hood housing (2), and which sliding handle (7) is guided in a groove (8) which runs in the operating or front face (2'), is open at the front and has a longitudinally slotted groove bottom through which passes a guide pin which is coupled on one side with the sliding handle and on the other side with a switching carrier, air enriched with kitchen vapours and dirt particles penetrates through the slotted groove bottom into the region of the electronic control unit when the cooker extractor hood is in operation. In order to protect the electronic control unit from contaminated air and thus from moisture or condensing precipitation, the guide pin (6) coupled with the sliding handle (7) is guided between a sealing element (12, 12') which defines a guideway (13) for the guide pin (6).
