STAGE LIGHT SYSTEM

A modular stage light system which features a plurality of trusses (10), each containing a number of stage lights (22). Each truss unit has an elongated frame (12) and rows of lights suspended downwardly from the frame. A first rigid lateral member (14) is pivotally connected to a first side (18) of the frame at a hinge joint, and a second rigid lateral member (16) is pivotally hinged to a second side (18) opposite the first. The truss unit has an operation configuration in which the lateral members extend upwardly to expose the rows of lights, and alternately a transportation configuration in which the lateral members extend downwardly to protect the rows of lights. A plurality of removable wheeled legs (66) are attached to the frame and the lateral members are selectively locked to the legs in the transportation configuration. This modular arrangement simplifies transportation of the system.
