PURPOSE:To obtain a deodorant which is highly effective not only against basic bad odor but also against odor of hydrogen sulfide by using an anhydrous chain or alicylic carbonic acid. CONSTITUTION:The deodorant contains anhydrous chain or alicylic carbonic acid as an active ingredient. Composite deodorizing materials can be obtained by incorporating such a deodorant into a vehicle. By combining such a deodorant with thermoplastic resin, deodorant resin formulations can be obtained. These formulations, in turn, can be processed to obtain deodorizing resin plastics and deodorizing foaming substances. As chain or alicylic anhydrous substance of carbonic acid, chain or alicylic mono- carbonic acid or acid anhydrous substance derived from polycarbonic acid or any compounds having similar structural formulas can be used. The above described deodorizing agents can be used solely in the form of, for example, solution, powder, tablet, etc., or in the form of deodorant composite materials by combining with various vehicles. Vehicles for deodorant composite materials can be in the form of powder, particles, fibers or sheet. When foaming thermoplastic resin is used as a thermoplastic resin, the deodorant formulations obtained can be made into a deodorizing foaming substance by foam molding. |
