<p>A process is useful for producing an intermediate product for subsequent conversion to objects made of ethylene vinyl acetate. According to the invention, an ethylene vinyl acetate elastomer is crosslinked, prior to conversion to a given object, to a degree depending on the desired properties of the object to be made, by adding a peroxide as crosslinking agent and other usual additives. The granulated intermediate product is moulded into objects, for example by extrusion, at a temperature below the crosslinking temperature.</p> |
