PURPOSE: To improve the efficiency of a high-power heat regenerator by stacking a stable basic mesh having a specific wire diameter and a screen mesh having a specific lead sheathing to form a heat regenerator matrix material used in a freezer. CONSTITUTION: A screen mesh which can obtain a void ratio less than 0.25 in a stacked state is employed for a heat accumulating matrix material used in a freezer of 70K or less. Such a screen mesh is composed of a stable basic mesh with wire diameters of 0.005-0.015 mm and a lead sheathing with a thickness of 0.025-0.075 mm to possess both of high bearing power of wire mesh and thermal capacity of lead. This screen mesh can be easily stacked form a matrix material. Also the characteristic such as the void ratio and heat transfer area is variable in a large range, for example, the matrix material can be formed by arranging another screen mesh or a sheet of film, which shows a large gas permeability with low heat conductivity, on a single or between plural screen meshes with lead sheathing. |
