Artificial teeth can be fitted in fixtures 3 in a patient's jaw. The fixtures are implanted in the patient's jaw bone 2 and a cover screw is screwed into each fixture, after which these are covered by the mucous membrane of the jaw. When the fixtures are to be exposed for anchoring of the artificial teeth, it is difficult to know their exact position. To be able to locate them, a bar magnet 11 is mounted in each cover screw. With the aid of an instrument, which comprises a bar magnet 32, which is suspended on a shaft 30 via a suspension member 31, the position of the fixtures can be easily determined on the basis of the deflection of the instrument. <IMAGE> |
