PURPOSE:To enhance sensitivity of a photosensitive body by incorporating a specified styryl compound in an electric charge transfer layer. CONSTITUTION:The photosensitive body is obtained by laminating on a conductive substrate 1 a charge generating layer 2 and a charge transfer layer 3 containing at least one of the styryl compounds represented by formula I or II in which each of Ar1-Ar4 is optionally (substituted)aryl and n is 0 or 1. This layer 3 is formed by dispersing said compound into a binder resin, such as polycarbonate, and coating with it, and the layer 2 contains a phthalocyanine type pigment, such as X-type metal-free phthalocyanine as a charge generating material and it is formed by a method same as the layer 3, and the layers 2, 3 may be reversed in the lamination order. |
