PURPOSE:To simplify the recording operation and enhance the composition function of a color sheet in a recording apparatus, by composing and recording designated areas of a plurality of originals in a color sheet after designating an area and a color for every original. CONSTITUTION:A recording apparatus equipped with a color composing and recording function of a plurality of originals is provided with a coordinate inputting means 1 for designating a composing area, a color designating means 2, an original switching means 3 for switching an original to be inputted and a controlling means 4 for controlling the recording operation. By designating an area and a color for each original, the designated areas of a plurality of originals can be composed and recorded in a color sheet. Inputting of coordinates and switching of an original in the color sheet composing function can be carried out independently through a console panel and an editor pad, respectively. For example, in the case where a general copy original and a halftone original are composed in a color sheet, after designating the composing area of the two originals and feeding the originals into an automatic feeder, the designated area of the halftone original is copied in color by the first recording operation, and the general copy original is copied all in black by the second recording operation, so that the designated area is automatically emphasized in color by the halftone. |
