PURPOSE:To extend the service life of a photosensitive belt by averaging the fatigue of a photosensitive material by shifting the timing to start formation at every sheet in a range where an image forming range of one page can be included within an effective photosensitive plane except for a joint corresponding to the size in a carrying direction of the sheet of an image forming device. CONSTITUTION:A parallel beam from a light source part modulated by a video signal is image-formed on the photosensitive belt OPC1 in the image forming device as a scanning spot via an optical system 12 and mirrors 13 and 14. The OPC1 is turned in a direction of arrow head by rollers 20a-20c driven by a motor not shown in figure, and the home position of the OPC1 is detected by a joint sensor 10 in turning the OPC1. An electrostatic latent image on the OPC1 is developed in a developing device 22 by a toner from a developing roller 23, and transfer is performed on a transferred sheet by transfer charger 24. And the timing to start the image formation is shifted at every sheet in the range where the image forming range of one page can be included within the effective photosensitive plane except for the joint of the OPC1. |
