The method produces a panel of hard plastic foam with cladding, the latter containing a plastic film and being applied to one side of the core before foam formation is complete. The film is first applied to a support largely retaining its strength and stiffness under the temperature rise during manufacture, before bringing the assembled cladding into contact with the core, when foaming of the latter is incomplete.
