PURPOSE:To obtain a phenolic resin composition for rubber reinforcing, evolving a small amount of ammonia in curing when mixed with rubber, by blending a hexamethylenetetramine having a specific adduct formation ratio with a novolak-type phenolic resin. CONSTITUTION:The aimed resin composition for rubber reinforcing is obtained by kneading (A) and (B) in a roll, etc., or dissolving or dispersing (A) and (B) into water and/or organic solvent, heating under a constant condition, optionally, removing the solvent, and crushing thereafter. (A): 100 pts.wt. novolak-type phenolic resin, (B): preferably 1-20 pts.wt., more preferably 3-15 pts.wt. hexamethylenetetramine having >=10%, preferably >=30%, more preferably >=50% adduct formation ratio, expressed by the formula (A is total amount of hexamethylenetetramine; B is the amount of hexamethylenetetramine extracted with ion-exchanged water, determined in a state of <=150mu particle diameter). |
