<p>PURPOSE:To accurately detect operation by using a monitor window to plot/ display a test pattern during the normal operation of a graphic LSI and checking whether the operation is normal or not. CONSTITUTION:With respect to a graphic display device using a graphic controller lSI 2 controlled by a CPU 1, it is monitored whether the plotting/displaying function is correctly operated or not. This CPU 1 is provided with a frame buffer 3, a display device 4, a plotting means 5 for test, a comparing means 6, and a monitor window mask means 7. The plotting means 5 for test uses the non-display period of the display device 4 to display the test pattern on the monitor window in the frame buffer 3. The comparing means 6 compares this displayed pattern with a pattern from the CPU 1 to judge whether the display function is correctly operated or not.</p> |
