PURPOSE:To peel off an image carrying sheet out of a latent image carrier by driving a developing means from a max. latent image forming area edge positioned in the rotating direction of the latent image carrier to a latent image carrier range including an latent image forming area. CONSTITUTION:Since the developing means 4 drives from the max. latent image forming area M1 positioned in the rotating direction of the latent image carrier 1 to the range including the latent image forming area Z, fogging toner in small quantities attaches to a location before the latent image forming area Z of the latent image carrier although it is an area where no latent image is formed. Under this condition, even if a transfer means 6 electrifies the entire area of an image carrier sheet 5 and the place toward which the image carrier sheet 5 is fed is electrostatically attracted by the latent image carrier 1, the fogging toner interposing between the front of the image carrier sheet 5 and the latent image carrier 1 functions as a kind of corona, and reduces tacking force applied between the front of the image carrier sheet 5 and the latent image carrier 1. Thus the image carrier sheet can be peeled off from the latent image carrier without resorting to forcible peeling-off. |
