<p>PURPOSE:To stabilize a signal transmission between a magnetic recording and reproducing head and a magnetic tape by forming a recessed part on a tape type recording medium sliding surface of the outer peripheral surface of a fixed cylinder in the radial direction, extending from a starting point of winding the tape type recording medium around a rotary head assembly over to an approximately middle point of the winding. CONSTITUTION:The recessed part 504 is formed on the tape type recording medium sliding surface 501 of the outer peripheral surface of the fixed cylinder 51 in the radial direction, extending from the starting point of winding the tape type recording medium 9 around the rotary head assembly over to the approximately middle point of the winding. Then, the depth of the recessed part 504 is gradually shallowed from the starting point of winding the tape type recording medium 9 to the middle point of the winding, so far as the recessed part 504 is concerned. Consequently, the tape type recording medium 9 is deeply fallen into the fixed cylinder 51 in its radial direction inside, thus stabilizing contact made by the fixed cylinder 51 and the tape type recording medium 9. By this method, the signal transmission between the recording and reproducing head and the magnetic tape can be stabilized.</p> |
