PURPOSE:To contrive an improvement of radiation efficiency of infrared rays and to enable to vary an output as well, by providing a heat source body on one end of a gravity type heat pipe supported under variable installation postures from normal standing to handstand and a radiating fin on the other end, in an infrared ray convection heater for heating. CONSTITUTION:A gravity type heat pipe 6 displays its essential function, heat of a heater 5 is transported to a radiating fin 8 and is made to radiate through a convection when the gravity type heat pipe is made to stand up in a normal posture. An output of the heater 5, therefore, becomes high as convectional radiation of the radiation fin 8 is done together with radiation and convectional radiation of the heater 5. The heat pipe 6 does not become fuctional normally and the convectional radiation of the radiation fin 8 either reduces or becomes zero by making the heat pipe 6 horizontal or into a handstand state. The radiation and convectional radiation, therefore, become main and the output is reduced. The output can be switched to either low or high. |
