An anti-theft device having a hood 1, a suction head 8 and a control member for manoeuvring the suction head. The anti-theft device is distinguished by a plate 11 which is anchored in the suction head, a pin 12 anchored in the plate and provided with a thread 13 and a spindle 14 which at its one end is fixedly coupled to the inside of the hood and which has an internal thread in engagement with the thread 13 of the pin. Rotation of the hood means that the spindle draws up the suction head and creates a large force, proportional to the angle of rotation of the hood, by which the anti-theft device is secured against the object, for example a car windscreen, which is to be protected. <IMAGE> |
