PURPOSE:To transmit desired color light by an optical fiber by coating a coloring matter or dye on a terminal section. CONSTITUTION:This optical fiber is formed by coating the coloring matter or dye on the terminal end face. The transmission of the desired color light by the optical fiber is enabled merely photoirradiating the section of this fiber by, for example, a flashlight, etc. The transmission of the color light only by the small-sized light source is thereby enabled and this optical fiber is applicable to various toys, stationery, or accessories. In addition, this fiber is valuable for science hobby. |
