PURPOSE:To insert and remove a flat cable easily by extending a reinforcing plate bonded to the termination of the cable to the side opposite to the terminating direction, thereby forming a free end, and by providing possibility of seizing this part by fingers. CONSTITUTION:A reinforcing plate 14 includes a bonded portion 14a bonded over the exposed part of a conductive part 12 and part of an insulating material 13 and an unbonded portion 14b in connection with this bonded portion 14a. This reinforcing plate 14 is bonded with a flat cable 11 in the terminating direction, but not bonded with the same 11 in the opposite direction, so that the unbonded portion 14b of the reinforcing plate 14 can be seized when the cable 11 is inserted and removed into/from a connector. This facilitates insertion and removal of the flat cable into/from the connector. |
