The lateral panels 9, 11 of the box have, on their edges other than the upper edge, oblique slits 24, 25, 26, 31, 32 into which, in the erected state of the box, are engaged angled pegs 27, 28, 29 mounted in a pivoting manner on the internal face of battens 12, 12', 13, 13', 14, 14' integral with the front wall 1, the bottom 2 and the rear wall 3 of the box. A rotation of 45 DEG of these pegs provides the locking. The front panel 1 and the lateral panels 9, 11 have on their upper edge pivoting fasteners 18 intended to engage in oblique slits of the lid 4 and to ensure locking after pivoting. The box can be made of wood, cardboard or a wood-cardboard mixture. <IMAGE>
