It consists of three parts: an upper "Y"-shaped end 1, one of whose branches 3 is free and used for intake of air, and the other of which has a calibre allowing fitting of a Kehr drain 4. The free branch of 1 is fitted with an anti-bacterial filter 4 in order to provide asepsis of the system. The vertical portion of 1 is surrounded by a ring 9 welded to a slide which makes it possible to fix it to the rod of a drip stand 8. The intermediate part 5 is a hose, measuring 30 to 50 cm in length, connected at the top to 1 and at the bottom to a flexible plastic bag. The closed plastic bag 6 is of rectangular shape. It is graduated, can contain 0.5 litre, and has a drainage system 7. At the junction of 5 and 6 is fixed a second slide 10 allowing fastening to the rod of the drip stand, whilst adjusting the height of the bag above the ground. This device is sterile, and is for single use. <IMAGE>
