PURPOSE:To surely and quickly decide flow-out of slag by deciding, whether the slag flows out or not, based on detected result of light energy radiated from molten metal flowed out. CONSTITUTION:Ladle wt. signal given from a load cell 11 is inputted to a nozzle control part 10 at the prescribed sampling cycle and compared this with the lower limit of the wt. for the ladle 1 prestored. This lower limit wt. is corresponded to the wt. of the ladle 1 in the case of flowing out a large part of the molten metal 2 in the ladle 1 and in case the ladle wt. signal exceeds the lower limit wt., the nozzle control part 10 judges that the remaining quantity of the molten metal 2 in the ladle 1 is much and no fear of flow-out of the floated slag 2a by mixing in the flowing-out material 5 from a nozzle 3 is. On the other hand, in case the ladle wt. signal is less than the lower limit wt. of the ladle, the nozzle control part 10 judges that the fear of flow-out of the slag 2a by mixing in the flow-out part 5 is. The light energy signal outputted from a light power meter 9 is inputted, and whether flow-out of the slag 2a or not, is decided based on the signal. |
