PURPOSE:To read a stripping original with good picture quality by extracting only picture information included in common in a picture signal outputted from a full photoelectric converting means. CONSTITUTION:In reading stripping originals 22, 23 while placing them on a plate 11 and moving the plate in a direction 13, when a reading point Q passes through a part P5, since a step at the left end of the original 23 becomes a shadow from the direction of the photoelectric converter 16, a picture signal A3 and a binary picture signal A5 have a shadow signal component. Similarly, when the point Q passes through a part P8, shadow signal components are generated in a picture signal A2 and its binary picture signal A4. These shadow signal components are generated exclusively and eliminated via an AND circuit 21. On the other hand, when the point Q passes through black background of the original 23 of the parts P6, P7, both signals A2, A3 go to high level at the same time and the picture signal A6 being AND output between the signals A4 and A5 goes also to high level. |
