PURPOSE: To form an image expressing a two-dimensional or a three-dimensional object by receiving a model, position and direction data and converting model data into display data which is used for forming the image on a display screen. CONSTITUTION: A data converting circuit is added in a display control unit 16 and receives model data expressing the basic shape of the object to be displayed. Model data is transmitted from an information source such as a host computer 18, etc. Model data is defined by an original point in the left-lower corner of the display screen 14 and the position of a space coordinate system like a parallel coordinate with X and Y 19 in accordance with respective horizontal and longitudinal directions. The data converting circuit converts model data into display data through the use of model, position and direction data. Display data is used in the unit 16, control data to be impressed on a display data link 20 is generated and CRT 20 forms a graphic display image on the screen 14 in accordance with model, position and direction data. |
