New thermally stable polymers containing imide groups. More precisely, these polymers are obtained by reaction, at a temperature ranging from 50 DEG C to 300 DEG C, between: a) an N, N'-bismaleimide, b) an acrylate reactant consisting especially of a novolac epoxy(meth)acrylate, c) an imidazole compound, and d) a chlorinated or brominated epoxy resin, the latter being taken by itself or mixed with an unchlorinated or unbrominated resin.
