PURPOSE:To provide the subject composition having excellent tensile strength, elongation and ozone resistance and suitable for boots, etc., by compounding an organic acid metal salt, a phenylamine or a phenylenediamine, an acid acceptor and a vulcanizing agent. CONSTITUTION:100 pts.wt. of chlorosulfonated polyethylene having a sulfur content of 0.2-3wt.% and a chlorine content of 10-50wt.% is compounded with (A) 0.1-20 pts.wt., preferably 0.3-10 pts.wt., of an organic acid metal salt, (B) 0.1-10 pts.wt. of a phenylamine (e.g. phenyl-alpha-naphthylamine) and/or a phenylenediamine (e.g. N,N'-diphenyl-p-phenylenediamine), 1-30 pts.wt. of an acid acceptor (e.g. magnesium oxide) and 0.1-10 pts.wt. of a vulcanizing agent (e.g. N,N'-phenylenediamine maleimide) to provide the objective composition. |
