PURPOSE:To obtain a motor without slippage loss and accurately controllable in its movement by forming a serrated contact surface between a moving body and a vibrator. CONSTITUTION:Vibrators 4 and 5 are made so as to bring a serrated elastic body 2 coinciding with the lower part of a moving body 1 into contact with a polarized piezoelectric ceramic 3 whose polarization is alternately reversed and to changer the direction of curvature by the polarity of an applied voltage. When a positive voltage is applied to the vibrators 4, 5, these vibrators change their shapes into wave-like forms by the action of the polarized piezoelectric ceramic 3 and elastic body 2 and half of serrated parts of the vibrator 4 push the moving body 1 in the rightward direction. Then, when a negative voltage is applied, the vibrators are transformed into reversely directed wave-like shapes and half of serrated parts of the vibrator 5 push the moving body 1 further in the rightward direction. In this manner, the polarity of an applied voltage is reversed alternately so that the moving body 1 can be moved continuously in the rightward direction, and the serrated contact surface is formed so that the slippage loss can be decreased substantially. |
