PURPOSE:To enable the perpendicular magnetic recording of high practicability by using a main magnetic pole excitation type single magnetic pole magnetic head core consisting of a main magnetic pole and an auxiliary magnetic pole as the magnetic head core. CONSTITUTION:A floating magnetic head where the magnetic head core is inserted to the core insertion groove 8 of a slider 7 consisting of a nonmagnetic material and they are coupled with a glass member has the main magnetic pole excitation type single magnetic pole structure having the main magnetic pole consisting of a sendust 1 and the auxiliary magnetic pole consisting of a ferrite 2. The sendust 1 and the ferrite 2 are coupled with a low-melting point lead glass 4. Thus, the floating magnetic head is obtained which enables perpendicular magnetic recording of high practicability which cannot be realized by conventional techniques. |
