PURPOSE:A grease composition having high extreme-pressure properties, high dropping point and long lubricating life, obtained by blending and dispersing uniformly a Li soap of a specific hydroxy fatty acid, Li salt of boric acid, and an alkaline earth metal salt of boric acid into a base oil having a lubricating viscosity. CONSTITUTION:(A) A Li soap of 12-24C hydroxy fatty acid (preferable example, 12-hydroxystearic acid, ricinoleic acid) as a thickening material, (B) Li salt of boric acid, and (C) an alkaline earth metal salt of boric acid as essential components are uniformly blended and dispersed into a base oil such as mineral oil, etc. having a lubricating viscosity, to give the desired composition. |
