A method for controlling the exposure in high-performance printers for copying coloured originals, in particular colour negatives, according to the additive principle, in which filters for blue, green, and red are assigned to three separate beam paths, complete spectral filters or the corresponding blue, green, and red regions of spectral filters being used as filters and the spectral filters being matched to the spectral light sensitivity of the material to be exposed by dimming and/or covering individual spectral regions.
