The invention relates to a rotary constant-velocity joint and in particular the guide of the spherical outer surface of the cage or of the spherical outer surface of the inner joint body on the associated hollow spherical surfaces of the outer joint body or of the cage. In order to achieve an easy-running joint, starting from all positions, a free rotation is provided which, when the joint is extended, directly adjoins the cross-sectional plane which contains the centre point of the hollow sphere.
