In a pivot support for a window, door or the like of the type comprising two links (9, 12) determining the swivelling axis in the area of the lower corner bearing and linked undisplaceably to the lower casement edge by means of a fastening plate (6) and in a concealing groove of the window frame by means of a base plate (18), the base plate (18) is adjustable along the groove by the provision of oblong holes (19, 36) for the fastening screws (20, 34) on the one hand and additionally via an adjusting and abutment means (30), which can adjust the base plate (18) without the necessity of detaching or loosening the screws and which is capable of receiving forces acting on the base plate (18) and transmitting them to the window frame. The base plate (18) is preferably adjusted relative to a fixed plate (31) by an eccentric (35). The support comprises a third arm (22) with a braking slide element (25). <IMAGE>
