PURPOSE:To automatically detect any damage of a fuel supply tube by providing a sensor for detecting the liquid level position of an auxiliary tank when closing a valve in the auxiliary tank provided on the downstream side of a switching valve, and holding a combustion control circuit into an inoperative state when the sensor detects the lowering of the liquid level. CONSTITUTION:An auxiliary tank 9 is provided on the downstream side of a switching valve 5, and a liquid level detecting sensor 10 for detecting the reduction of the liquid level position of the auxiliary tank 9 when closing the switching valve 5 is provided in the auxiliary tank 9. When an unusing time is long and during this time an oil leakage occurs in a fuel supply passage 6 of a fuel supply tube or the like such as a rubber tube on some reason or another, and the liquid level of the auxiliary tank 9 is lowered abruptly, a light receiving element 10b of the sensor 10 receiving light from a photoelectric element 10a, and a relay coil R1 is excited thus to open a relay contact R1-1 interposed in a combustion control circuit 12. For this reason, even when an oil amount adjusting dial 7a provided in an oil amount adjuster 7 is manipulated, the combustion control circuit 12 is not operated and a solenoid valve 5 is not opened. Accordingly, the combustion apparatus does not start operation and further a leakage of a large amount of oil does not occur due to the damage of the fuel supply passage 6. |
