Arrangement of four compact fluorescent lamps in a rotationally symmetrical conical reflector

Four compact fluorescent lamps in a rotationally symmetrical conical reflector capped at one side and grouped symmetrically around the axis of rotation of the reflector. Each compact fluorescent lamp has fluorescent tubes which have mutually parallel axes and are otherwise arranged around the axis of rotation of the reflector as well as close to one another. The fluorescent tubes are arranged with their cross-sectional middle axes on the longitudinal middle axis and on both sides of the transverse middle axis of a base area, whose shape ranges from an elongated rectangle to a long oval, of the associated lamp cap, and are perpendicular to the latter. Only the four longitudinal middle axes of the cap base area of the four compact fluorescent lamps circumscribe a square. The four transverse middle axes of the cap base areas intersect at right angles on the axis of rotation of the reflector. The longitudinal axes of the fluorescent tubes are inclined towards one another in relation to the axis of rotation of the reflector and to the light exit opening of the reflector. An improvement in the light output ratio and a uniform light distribution into a conical reflector are achieved by means of the lamp arrangement.
