An apparatus for adjusting the capacity of a hypodermic syringe is equipped with a frame (1) which is equipped with a stop (16) for the hypodermic syringe (7) and with a stop (4), which is displaceably attached to the frame (1), for the plunger of the syringe so that, after this stop (4) has been adjusted to a preset value by inserting the syringe into the apparatus, the capacity of the syringe can be adjusted to a preset dose, irrespective of the legibility of the scale on the syringe. <IMAGE>
