The invention relates to a method for producing a superconductor having a superconducting layer (11) of ceramic-oxide material which is applied onto a substrate (4). The object of the invention is to disclose a method by which the superconducting layer (11) can be deposited in a quick and energy-efficient manner. According to the invention, chemical compounds in powder form are prepared which can be evaporated at low temperatures to form the superconducting layer (11).
