The invention relates to a spacer for multilayered walls, in particular exterior walls, having one or more air layer(s), but also for ceilings, roofs and floors likewise having one or more air layer(s), and can preferably be used in the building industry. In order to reduce the temperature difference, between the surface temperature of a connecting anchor in the region of an air layer and the temperature of the air located between the wall layer, to such an extent that the formation of condensation on the connecting anchor in the region of the air layer is avoided, there is arranged, around the connecting anchor, a sheathing element which consists of a heat-insulating, preferably compression-resistant material which is insensitive and impermeable to moisture, said sheathing element having a minimum heat-insulating-material thickness dependent on the heat-insulating material. In this arrangement, the connecting anchor is sheathed uninterruptedly over the entire width of the air layer (layers). <IMAGE>
