An internally ventilated disc brake consisting of two friction rings which are arranged spaced apart by means of connection ribs. A plurality of approximately radial cooling air channels are formed between the ribs. Arranged in the channel, held spaced apart, are air deflection elements of great heat-absorption capacity. In particular, the deflection elements run approximately parallel to the ribs and are arranged between the two friction rings transversely to the direction of rotation of the brake disc. The deflection elements consist of guiding lamellae in a bearing plate, said guiding lamellae being set at an angle and arranged one after the other. Air passage apertures are formed between the plate and the lamellae set out of the plane of the bearing plate.
