The system for utilising the energy of internal combustion engines by means of external drive of the secondary units of a motor vehicle and their use for providing energy is distinguished in particular by its economy. The invention is capable of replacing relatively expensive electric motors by simple and cost-effective oil engines. A further saving is achieved with the fuel if comparable conditions are assumed. The system presented is also distinguished in that the oil engines are substantially smaller than electric motors and engine-dependent units can be accommodated at any point in the engine cavity. This serves to promote good organisation and ease of repair. A further viewpoint is the extendability of the system. By means of plug-in connections, further oil engines can be connected. In this way, the system is given extraordinarily wide and varied application possibilities. <IMAGE>
