PURPOSE:To obtain an eating damage preventing agent against insect pests of fiber showing effects of methyl oxalate, capable of sustaining the effects for a long period of time, by using both methyl oxalate and methyl fumarate. CONSTITUTION:An eating damage preventing agent against insect pests of fiber obtained by adding 3-10wt.% methyl fumarate to methyl oxalate. The preventing agent is stored in a bag prepared by laminating polyethylene to polyethylene bag, nonwoven fabric or Japanese paper and preferably used. In addition of methyl fumarate to methyl oxalate, methyl fumarate may be added in the powder state as it is or methyl fumarate is dissolved in a small amount of a solvent and can be uniformly blended with methyl oxalate. |
