Apparatus for extracting powder by suction in a system (5) for coating the weld seam (24) of a can body (4) with a layer of powder, comprising a spray head (6), which comes to lie in the interior of the can body (4), as spray chamber (11) and a powder feedpipe (13), which terminates in the spray chamber (11), and a suction pipe (14), which terminates in the spray chamber (11), an electrode (25), which is connected to a source of high-voltage (10), and an extraction device (7), which is disposed opposite the spray head (6), externally thereof, above a spray aperture (12) in the spray chamber (11), charaterized in that the powder feedpipe discharges into the spray chamber at the bottom of the spray chamber (11) opposite the spray aperture (12) and in that the extraction device (7) has a tubular mouthpiece (17), which is disposed directly opposite the mouth of the powder pipe (13) leading into the spray chamber (11) and substantially in the axis (A) of the powder jet (16) emerging from the powder pipe (13). |
