The front panel forms the front termination of an insert which is used in telecommunications racks, for example in exchanges and in telecommunications transmission systems. In the case of a front panel which is screwed onto the side parts of the insert, there is a risk of it no longer being screwed tight correctly after removal and of electromagnetic compatibility then no longer being ensured. The front panel 1 is therefore now provided with closing springs 2 which are mounted on a lip 6 of the front panel 1 and latch in the side parts 3, 4 on a step 9, and which produce good electrical contact between the front panel 1 and the side parts 3, 4 of the rack insert. <IMAGE>
