PURPOSE:To obtain a valve with a simple construction in which opening and closing positions of the valve are clearly distinguishable by installing an operating member on the outer peripheral portion of a valve housing so that the operating member can be freely turned, and engaging pins formed in a valve- body driving member with guide grooves formed in the operating member. CONSTITUTION:A ball-shaped valve body 18 is incorporated in a valve housing 11 having openings 14, 15. A cylindrical operating member 21 is inserted on the outer peripheral portion of the valve housing 11. Guide grooves 23a are formed in the operating member 21. Engaging pins 24a are inserted in a valve- body driving member 24 connected to the upper part of the valve body 18, and engaged with the guide grooves 23a. When the operating member 21 is turned, the valve body 18 is also turned by the guide groove 23a and the engaging pins 24a. Thus, the driving mechanism becomes simple. Since a fixed relationship between the operating member 21 and the valve body 18 is established, the opening and closing positions become distinguishable. |
