PURPOSE: To express acoustics at the time of turning on a sustain pedal by extending the envelope of a sound generated at that time point and simultaneously reading a memory stored with the timbre data of musical intervals corresponding to resonance except a keyed chord when the sustain pedal is stepped. CONSTITUTION: In (n) pieces of memories from the 2nd memory to the (n-1)th memory, the sounds stored in the correspondent addresses of a 1st memory 7 are stored while extracting the (n) pieces of characteristic higher harmonic waves from a resonant sound which is generated by turning on the sustain pedal. These memories are read out simultaneously when the 1st memory 7 is read out, and their outputs are respectively suitably weighted by a constant multiplication circuit 9 and added together by an adder circuit 13. Then, when a sustain pedal 2 is turned on, the envelope rises while having a time constant corresponding to the time from the detachment of a damper at an acoustic piano to the resonance start of the chord and when the sustain pedal is turned off layer, the envelope falls together with the output of a 1st envelope control part 11. Thus, when the sustain pedal is turned on, acoustics can be variously changed. |
