The housing has a coner inclined wall making a corner support for the friction clamp. A vertical wall extends from the inclined wall and a vertical wall is spaced longitudinally from the first vertical wall. Both vertical walls have flat interior faces that come into contact with the friction clamp flat faces. At least one of the flat vertical wall faces has a strengthend part, where a friction clamp edge displaces, to prevent the formation of protrusion on the flat face. Each housing vertical wall carries a pin hole (22). The invention is used as a low wear housing for a railway bogie friction clamp.
