<p>Method of lifting an articulated grab bucket by means of a crane with a winch which also controls the opening of the two parts forming this bucket. Said bucket is given hooked excrescences at the hinge pin (3), which excrescences cooperate with a metal bar which is intended to lift the bucket by the hooks (4) and is attached to the two ends of the lifting cables or chains controlled by the crane winch. A second cable or chain system, likewise controlled by said winch, is for bringing about the opening of the half-buckets by a pivoting action about said hinge pin, the respective lengths of the two strands of cable or chain being so arranged that the two functions of lifting and opening are carried out sequentially without obstructive interference, while the return phase of the cycle reverses the order of the two functions and their effects. <IMAGE></p> |
