PURPOSE: To prevent a guide rail from being dislodged due to slippage of the guide rail by roughening at least one surface in the guide rail which contacts through a first surface with a second surface of a first motion unit and is fixed by a screw means. CONSTITUTION: A machine tool has a guide rail 13 for guiding a displaceable motion unit. The guide rail 13 contacts through a first surface 18 with a second surface 17 of the first motion unit 15 and is fixed to the second surface by a screw 14, and at least one of the surfaces 17, 18 is roughened. As a result, even when the motion units collide against each other due to improper operation, when too heavy force is added to a main machine bed 10, and when excess force is added to a radial direction of the screw 14, frictia causes between the both surfaces 17, 18 to prevent the guide rail 13 from being dislodged. |
