CONSTITUTION:When an accumulating phosphor material is scanned, medically diagnostic radiograph information recorded thereon is read and converted to an electrical signal and then reproduced as a visual image, a non-sharp mask signal Sus corresponding to an extremely low spatial frequency at respective scanning points is obtained, when an original signal read from the phosphor material is defined to be Sorg, the intensifying coefficient to be beta, and an output signal used for a reproduction to be S', the intensifying coefficient beta is changed so as to be monotonously increased, reach a maximum value and be monotonously decreased according to the increase of the value of the original picture signal Sorg or the non sharp mask signal Sus when the intensifying coefficient betais zero or positive to operate according to S'=Sorg+beta(Sorg-Sus) and intensify a frequency component above the extremely low spatial frequency. Thereby, the diagnostic performance of the radiation picture can be remarkably improved. |
