<p>a) The invention relates to a cornice (1) intended for an item of furniture, such as an item of kitchen furniture, particularly a hanging item of furniture (2), and consisting essentially of a corner bracket (6), one of the branches (7) or first branch of which rests via its free end (70) on the upper face (20) of the item of furniture (2) to be topped, whilst the other branch (8) or second branch projects above this item of furniture (2). b) This cornice is characterised in that the first branch (7) comprises a part (9) projecting above the item of furniture (2), this projecting part, directly contiguous with the second branch (8), being at least partly produced in a transparent or translucent material and interacting with light sources (14) permitting illumination of the lower part of the item of furniture (2), particularly a work table (4) arranged beneath the latter. c) The invention is applicable to the furniture industry. <IMAGE></p> |
