<p>The device comprises a payoff reel (20) on which is wound the strip (22) for processing, a reeler (21) with a drive motor to wind the processed strip, and at least one cutting tool (15) fixed on each side along the path followed by the strip, in such a way as to remove material from the edges of the strip. In order to keep the moving strip in a predetermined plane as it passes the cutting tools, at least one set of two endless belts (3) have been provided, positioned opposite each other and moving on rollers (4, 6). The belts (3) form a sandwich about the strip (22) and contact the strip at least along the distance where the cutting tools are located (15). Each belt moves on rollers supported by a single body (1, 2). The bodies are mounted on adjustable supports (12) to allow adjustment of their position whenever the type of strip is changed. <IMAGE></p> |
